Seoul | South Korea

On my way back to Indonesia last weekend, I had a stopover in Seoul. Aside from the fact that I was woefully unprepared for the below-freezing temperature, I enjoyed a quick jaunt around the city. Angela, a friend of a friend who is teaching in Seoul, agreed to show me around for the day. We started the day at Gyeongbokgung palace.

In a bid to ward off frostbite, we stopped for lunch which included super-spicy noodles, rice, and kimchi (fermented veggies) before carrying on.

The Namsan Cable Car goes up to the highest point in the city and to Seoul Tower. The views are absolutely worth the trip. If you are visiting with your lover, there is also a padlock wall, similar to the Pont des Arts in Paris.
